Training and Support

Timebank South West provides a variety of start-up and ongoing support and training opportunities to Neighbourhood and Organisational Timebanks.
Our training is open to all Timebank members but we know that Volunteer Brokers are key to all Timebanks long term sustainability. The more informed they feel about their role, the more confident they are in carrying it out.
Our training offers a combination of half-day sessions and bite sized workshops including:

Setting up and running a Time Bank

Covers everything you need to know to get your Timebank started, promoting it, joining members, making exchanges, developing it and keeping it going.

Role of a Volunteer Broker

In-depth look at the role and tasks of a Volunteer Broker.

Making an exchange

How to organise a one to one or group exchange/activity between individuals and groups, time credits and carrying out a follow-up check.

Keeping it safe

How to minimise risks when joining someone up and making an exchange, risk assessments, safe-guarding policies and produces and DBS checks.
